7 Videos for 7 Days
Effective January 7, 2002, library patrons will be able to check out a larger number of videos for a longer period. This policy is being altered to enhance library services for our patrons and provide them greater flexibility.- All patrons will be able to check out 7 videos, or 7 DVD's, or a combination of 7 video/DVD's at one time.
- Videos/DVD's will circulate for a period of 7 days.
- All videos/DVD's may be renewed one time for an additional 7 days, provided the item does not have a reserve on it.
- Library fines for these items are being reduced to $.50 per item per day, cumulative to $5.00 per item.
- The only exception to this is new releases. The newest videos/DVD's acquired for the adult circulating collection will circulate as follows:
- Three videos/DVD's per card for 3 days. They may be renewed one time for an additional 3 days provided there are no reserves on the item. This will allow the greatest accessibility by the most patrons to new titles.
- Patrons may check out a combination of 3 new releases and 4 other video/DVD's.
- Library fines on new releases will also be $.50 per item per day.
- Three videos/DVD's per card for 3 days. They may be renewed one time for an additional 3 days provided there are no reserves on the item. This will allow the greatest accessibility by the most patrons to new titles.
