Vaccine Availability
According to our sources, Ohioans age 40 and over, as well as those with certain medical conditions, will be eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccine starting Friday, March 19th, and all Ohioans age 16 and older starting on Monday, March 29th. Eligible Ohioans can book an appointment at gettheshot.coronavirus.ohio.gov.
COVID-19 Test Kits
Call the library (419-468-3203) if you are interested in receiving a COVID-19 test kit. We will take your information and make a test kit available to you for curbside pickup.
Book Donations Accepted
Routine used book donations will once again be accepted beginning Monday, April 5th.
Adult Grab-N-Go Craft Kits
A new craft will be available every other Monday and will include craft supplies and instructions. (Read More.)
Friends Meeting Dates
Yes, the Friends are meeting again — on the lawn, 6:30pm the first Tuesday of each month. Tue, May 4th at 6:30pm, Tue, Jun 1st at 6:30pm, Tue, Jul 6th at 6:30pm, Tue, Aug 3rd at 6:30pm, Tue, Sep 7th at 6:30pm, and Tue, Oct 5th at 6:30pm.
Used Book Drop-Off Day

Circulation Policy Changes Q and A
Changed policies at Galion Public Library: books and many other items now have no overdue fines; long-overdue items and replacement costs can block you from checking out; replacement fees for lost items can be canceled if the items are returned within six months; existing overdue fines are being wiped; and renewals are now automatic, as long as nothing blocks them.
