Jason Abbot will present two action-packed family shows on June 13^th, and Tom Phoolery will present his Showcase of Dreams on June 20^th. Jason Abbot has been interested in magic since he was 5 years old and has been a professional magician since the age of 16. Jason uses a variety of props in his 45 minute show, including handkerchiefs, playing cards, bananas, and a straight jacket. Tom Phoolery uses magic, humor and audience participation to tell the stories of men and women whose dreams have influenced our lives, including Wilma Rudolph, Thomas Edison, J.K. The Galion Public Library encourages all those over 18 years of age to participate in this years Adult Summer Reading Program. Registration begins June 1^st. Jerry Francl will take his Scratch computer animation workshop to the next level with Arduino, a microcontroller board that allows the programmer to control devices outside the computer. Go beyond the flat, two-dimensional world of the computer's monitor and control things in the three-dimensional physical world. Griff, an American Labrador Retriever, is a trained therapy dog as part of Therapy Dog International's Tail Waggin' Tutors program, and he listens to boys and girls read books. He'll be here on Wednesdays from 5-6pm. Studies show that therapy dogs calm students so that they can practice, gain confidence, and improve their skills in a relaxing environment. Parents can sign their children up for a ten-minute session of reading with Griff.
