We have a job opening for a Children's Room assistant. This is a part-time position with programming duties for grade school children. Two years of working with children and/or library experience preferred. Approximately 20-25 hours a week on average. Must be able to work days, evenings and Saturdays. Applications will be taken until July 28^th.

We will be changing our hours of operation, starting September 7^th.

A new craft will be available every other Monday and will include craft supplies and instructions. Call the library to reserve a craft kit, or simply stop by the main desk to pick one up.

Families, organizations, businesses, and individuals of all ages are invited to enter our tree decorating contest. Trees may be submitted December 6-11. The public may vote for their favorite tree once daily from December 13-18. The 3 trees with the most votes will win prizes ($50, $35, and $25 Barnes & Noble gift cards). Requirements: Trees must be under 2 feet tall and able to stand up on their own. Living trees may be used, but must be in a pot or base. Trees may be created by someone else (artificial trees or craft base) but decorated by the entrants, or the entire tree may be handmade by the entrants out of any materials they choose.
